Hello everyone! I
am Maria Ximena Lopez, I am 20 years old, I was born in Buenaventura, Colombia.
Right now, I am studying industrial engineering at the University Icesi in
Cali, Colombia. I identify myself as a person who loves animals and enjoy
nature. I like playing football, jogging, singing, and watching anime in my
spare time.
As mentioned
earlier, I love nature, enjoy the scenery and the weather, so I like to travel
to places that have these qualities. And although it is not essential for me, I
must admit I like window shopping in comercales centers, and taste variety of food
menu.
- INTRODUCTION
In this
website, I hope to pass on my experiences in the city of Cartagena de Indias.
Where the sea can cure any pain, and the sand gives a new skin. At least for me
it is. And if you are someone who prefer to visit beaches, shopping, and enjoy
the evening entertainment, this might interest you, here committee recommends
places and food dishes that have given me a great experience.
On the
other hand, if you are not interested in such things, anyway, I hope give a
good story about this trip.
The first
thing that I love this city, was the sunset. This made me feel very quiet,
listening to the sea and wind. I say this because to reach this city, after two
days traveling by car, I stayed in the apartment of my cousins, located in the
Las Tres Calaveras building. And the first thing that got me was the evening I
managed to see through the balcony of the apartment. It's amazing that such minute
details that make the world's cities are so different.

- Visit Bocagrande Beach
After
sleeping, the next day we went to the beach in Boca Grande. In this place, we
had a moment of relaxation and rest, accompanied by a delicious shrimp cocktail
(which sells a group of Afro-Colombian workers, right there on the beach) with
a beer Club Colombia. The combination was simply fuits. The shrimp brought the
flavor of seafood, tomato sauce, onion and finally a touch of lemon, which to
unify a unique flavor. And beer in the middle of the sun, I cooled off inside
out. It was a great accompaniment to the breeze from the beach. It is supremely
delicious. I loved it!

The good
thing about this beach is that you do not have to go elsewhere to find snack or
drink, there are many workers on the beach offer a complete service, that is,
umbrella, chairs, drinks, and others. So, it is very comfortable to spend time
here. And it feels better when you want to rest, and live for a time as king,
surrounded by people who are dedicated to giving you a healthy and pleasant
place to enjoy the sun, the breeze that never fails in Cartagena, and strength
the waves that massage the body. So, on this side, you'll have fewer worries.
Besides
enjoying mentioned previously, the company is an important factor. I mean, no
family (native of Cartagena) of my cousins, there would have been the same.
Although these people speak loudly, they were fun, made me laugh with every
word they said. In addition, they were very friendly; there was first offered
me Corozo juice. It's like the perfect combination of taste of blackberry and
strawberry, with a hint of sugar water with lemon. It is a tropical and
refreshing taste. I do not know how it is prepared, but I tasted, it's super
delicious! In fact, since that day I took this juice, I did not lose the
opportunity to drink. Apparently, it is a traditional drink, so it was easy to
find.
Finally, my
experience with the sea was one of the best, that's fantastic. When I started
to go to him, I did not think about how dangerous it could be, because the
atmosphere of the beach, music, laughter and shouts of the people, made the sea
was apparently safe and fun. When I entered, I felt the water temperature was
perfect; It was very sunny and hot outside, but inside the water was completely
different, it was an invigorating cold, I felt my whole body relaxed; so I was
swimming and splashing water with my family for several minutes. I noticed that
the sea had a very strong and frequent waves, so this encouraged the desire to
play and small challenges further away from the beach, it was fun, I felt like
the time had returned to childhood.
